PROTECTION
When Fire Protection of Critical Equipment,
Personnel or Production is Required... PROCON 2000 is there!

Fire safety, you don't think about it until it's needed. Fire safety,
gets only one chance and it must do its job or losses of equipment,
production or personnel lives can be staggering.
Protective Concepts, Inc. has been designing and manufacturing
flexible passive fire protection (PFP) jackets since 1986 to protect
lives and equipment.
Protective Concepts has been setting the standards by which
others are measured.
Protective Concepts has passed numerous hydrocarbon or "UL-1709"
fire test and was the first to pass a jet-blast fire test in 1991.
Protective Concepts passed the "OTI-95634" jet
blast fire test in 1998 with DNV and Lloyd's witness. Since then,
Protective Concepts has received jet-blast fire certification
from DNV, ABS and Lloyd's Register.
Many offshore platforms now require overpressure blast test certifications.
In 1999, with Lloyd's witness, Protective Concepts survived
three successive over-pressure blasts test of 0.5, 1.0 and 1.4 bar.
Protective Concepts now has ABS and Lloyd's Register certification
for over-pressure blast.
Protective Concepts patented custom-designed, form-fitting,
fire protection jackets are light-weight, weather-resistant and
durable.
Quality and value are designed and manufactured into every jacket.
When it comes to installation and removal, our jackets make all
others impractical. Wire, handtools, banding straps and an army
of installers are not required to install Protective Concepts
"PFP" jackets. Everything needed for installation is included
with the jacket. Drilling and tapping holes, special brackets, welding,
hot work permits are not required. This is especially important
when you can replace old "PFP" jackets with Protective
Concepts jackets and not have to shut-down or remove equipment
from service.
We understand the time and costs associated with installing fire
protection jackets. You want t something that is easy to carry up
six flights of stairs and when you get there, you place it on the
part, fit the velcro flaps and cinch up the straps, you're done!
No special training is required and fire protection integrity is
assured.
Are you getting all of the key elements of
fire protection?
- Remain intact through lengthy exposure to the environment; UV
exposure, salt water, cold temperatures, chemicals, and impacts.
- Lightweight, easy to carry and position on part.
- Block flame paths and retard heat flow.
- Simple and easy to install or remove.
- Replace worn-out PFP "in-place" without shutting down
or removal of equipment.
- No tools or special training required to install or remove for
inspection.
- Tested and certified products, meet and exceed insurance underwriters
requirements.
- Jacket materials are inert and will not corrode protected part.
- Quick delivery.
- PCI can survey equipment to be protected and take dimensional
responsibility for the fit.
- PCI can repair or modify in the field.
- Value for your fire protection budget.

Design
Protective Concepts pioneered the passive fire protection
field. We were first to use flaps with Velcro and straps and D-rings.
Others may try to copy Protective Concepts designs, but our
years of experience and continuous improvements of the ProCon 2000
exclusive materials, keep Protective Concepts technically
at the head of the pack. Why use imitations, when for the same price,
or less, you can have the best.
Protective Concepts developed the design practices, the
heat flow calculations and the manufacturing methods to achieve
fire protection results of thickness and weight which other fire
protection providers can't match. Independent laboratories test
data substantiate our claims of negligible temperature rise for
the first 15-20 minutes in a fire. At the same time, Protective
Concepts jacket designs can survive repeated blasts and still
maintain their fire protection integrity. Protective Concepts
robust design, material choices and manufacturing techniques equal
years of reliable service. Isn't this what you want for your fire
protection budget?
